About once a decade things get really weird and we actually get snow here on the wet coast. That is, snow that sticks around for more than an hour before turning into a soggy, slushy mess.
This year we’ve been especially fortunate. We’ve had almost a solid month of this bright, cheery, white winter in place of our normal dark, wet dreariness. We even almost got a white Christmas, but we had to settle for a white Boxing Day.
The downside is that Vancouver has the worst snow drivers north of the equator. And plowing the roads? What’s that? Luckily I was able to capture this moment right through my living room window.
