I have been more than a little slow in getting any of the photos I took in the Dominican Republic this February published on this site. I had some technical complications. Namely, my laptop decided that the moment I opened up Photoshop upon returning from my trip would be the perfect time to die.
I seized the opportunity to buy a new laptop, and now I am back in business.
What stuck out most for me about the Dominican Republic was the contrast between rich and poor. There are literally dirt floor shacks right next door to mansions. I suppose that this is a trait common to many developing nations, but it seemed particularly obvious here.
But there’s not doubt about it, it’s a beautiful country, with a welcoming, hospitable population. I would most certainly go back.
