A View From Central Park

Our feet were sore and covered in blisters from our walk around Manhattan the day before. The weather was iffy too, but damn it; one does not simply visit New York and not go to Central Park. So we did.

Was it worth it? Of course. But I couldn’t help but think that Stanley Park still outshines it by a considerable margin, as far as city parks go.

Here’s a little added bonus. Below is the photo I actually took that day. Call it cheating if you must, but it would have been impossible to get the result above straight out of the camera. Perhaps if I’d had a very tall ladder I could have come close but that’s not exactly a practical solution. The question you need to ask when you take photos is if your goal is an “accurate” snapshot or if you want to create art. I know what the answer is for me….
