I could easily spend a week just wandering up and down this road taking pictures, except for one thing:
The illogical speed limit.
This twisty, narrow road with no shoulders, where the trees are often flush with the side has a speed limit of 55mph, and it just makes no sense to me. The interstate is directly parallel, and it’s a perfectly fine road for going fast, why on earth is a highway speed limit needed here?
It means that when you’re driving this supremely gorgeous road, there’s a good chance you’ll be tailgated all the way through by some impatient jerk who is has inexplicably chosen the scenic route when (s)he’s obviously not interested in it.
