This was taken inside an old Vancouver city bus that currently resides in a sort of bus graveyard in the ghost town of Sandon, BC.
I’d guess this bus dates from the 40s or 50s, and this is the brochure holder for The Buzzer, the transit authority’s newsletter. Surprisingly, the same publication still exists today, and can still be found in similar brochure holders (minus the classic aesthetic) on buses and trains today.
I’ve never seen anyone read it though.
