A few years ago I was wandering through Vancouver’s Gastown neighbourhood and I came across this building. Of course I had seen this building many times before, but at that time an interesting business had taken up residence. “The Alife Inc.” I have no idea what they were all about but the slogan displayed in the window put a smile on my face.
I started thinking about this old building itself, and the life it has had. A metropolis of shiny glass towers has sprung up around this old place, and yet here it remains, having surely seen many “lives” pass by, both beautiful and not so beautiful.
