The Majestic Mount Robson

The Majestic Mount Robson, the highest peak of the British Columbia Rockies, and the second highest mountain in BC.

If my memory serves correctly, this was taken in the evening of a beautiful and sunny day, which just does to show you how quickly the weather can change when you’re in the mountains.

Not sure if you mean you don’t see the object that I’m speaking of or don’t see it as a bit distracting? The object is not white but I would say more cream colored and if you follow the line of snow in the center of the photograph down the mt. and just into the dark area you will see something shaped like a mexican hat. Not a big deal Just wanted to clear it up.

  Ah! Yes, I meant I wasn’t sure what you were referring to. It’s part of the mountain for sure, probably a patch of dirty snow. :)

I would have liked it a lot had there been some detail in the foreground and whatever the light object in the bottom of the V is extremely distracting for me.

  It appears to be a structure of some sort all alone in the dark foreground and it being so light it seems to draw attention and therefore my eye keeps going back to it. The clouds and mountain are outstanding but the “thing” detracts from the subject. Just my take so please don’t be offended.
